Struggling With Allergies? These 5 Cleaning Hacks Can Help

The war against seasonal allergies doesn’t end, but you can boost your artillery by purchasing the best vacuum for allergies. As your home’s keeper, it’s up to you to plan and execute an efficient plan that makes cleaning and tidying a sustainable part of your daily routine. This blog will reveal some key strategies and cleaning hacks that can help you defeat the airborne enemies that cause coughs, runny noses, and dry eyes and throats.

Set A Cleaning Schedule That Fits Your Lifestyle

Depending on the size of your home, you might not be able to keep up alone. Be realistic about how long it takes to thoroughly clean your home. And, schedule a deep cleaning on a free day every week of allergy season. In the short term, scatter small cleaning tasks across the week and get help whenever you can.

Prepare Reinforcements Before Peak Allergy Season

If you or someone in your home is a severe allergy sufferer, you will be dreading the spring as soon as you notice the days getting longer. Instead of panicking or waiting for the inevitable terror of unplanned congestion and fatigue, take the steps to make your air as pure as possible throughout the day and night. A high-quality best vacuum for allergies like the Sirena includes an air purification mode. Even better, it can run for hours to remove airborne allergens from different rooms in your home. The water-powered air purification system is completely natural and also 100% efficient. That is thanks to the combination of a backup HEPA filter on top of water filtration.

Set And Enforce Rules

Make sure kids, guests, and pets are aware of the allergy season protocol and why it is important. Use accessories like lint rollers and dusters to remove dirt that’s easy to find. Simple steps like keeping shoes off and removing outside garments before sitting on the furniture will go a long way in keeping your entire home clean and pristine.

Control Pet Dander And Unwelcome Intruders

Pets shed most in the spring and fall months. Even if you don’t have a pet, your family or guests may track hair from the neighbors’ lovable dog or cat into your home without you realizing it. Studies have shown that pet hair is extremely harmful to the well-being of people with allergies. Bugs, rodents, and other critters will begin to show themselves as the seasons change, which should be an added reminder to secure all breaches in your home’s exterior. Window screens that allow airflow through small holes can still introduce dust and dander from the outdoors. Be aware of the areas that will need the most protection and cleaning attention to make sure your airflow stays pure.

Oh My Sirena!

I’ve never used a canister vacuum so that is taking a little getting used to. It’s kind of funny; my husband pointed out I don’t call it the vacuum or a sweeper. I call it “my Sirena”. It works great, I was surprised how much pet hair it picked up my first use. The deodorizer and essential oils I will definitely order more of when these run out. My old vacuum seems like a toy in comparison of how much more effective my Sirena is. It’s only been a couple of weeks but as of right now I am very happy with this purchase. Will write another review in December when I’ve had it a while. The extra hose and attachments I haven’t really figured out a good way to store it for accessibility and convenience. Any suggestions?

Best vacuum I've encountered in 16 years

Sixteen years ago I bought an Ocean Blue water filtered vacuum. It was by far the best vacuum I had ever owned, but it's wearing out now and they quit making them. I just got a new Sirena and it has all the features of the Ocean Blue plus a few improvements. If you know anything about water filtration vacs, I don't need to tell you how good they are. This one is the best I've encountered in a long time.
