4 Unexpected Uses of a Vacuum Cleaner

We all know the primary function of a vacuum cleaner. But as technology evolves, more and more uses for powerful water filtration in a vacuum become possible. You can freshen the air supply in your home for hours at a time, clean soft surfaces, and more! In short- this is not your mama’s cleaning list. This blog will explain unexpected uses of a vacuum cleaner for homeowners and more.

unexpected uses of a vacuum cleaner

1. Air Purification

If you suffer from allergy symptoms or asthma, a water filtration system can be your best friend. In fact, you don’t have to spend money on expensive purifiers if your vacuum is equipped with air purification functionality. Water filters are designed to catch the dirt, dust, and contaminants that build up in your air and on your surfaces, and a backup HEPA filter ensures not a single speck of dirt escapes back into the air. The fewer of these contaminants you have in your air supply, the less unpleasant your symptoms will be.

2. Inflation

If you or your kids have sports or exercise balls to inflate, you know how convenient it is to have an air pump at your disposal. When you flip the direction of suction on your Sirena vacuum, it instantly becomes an air pump! It is also helpful when you need to inflate an air mattress or other household items in a pinch. Our state-of-the-art vacuum allows you to inflate balloons for a party or swim floats for the pool with ease. Therefore, make sure your vacuum cleaner includes this essential modern feature.

3. Mattress Cleaning

Cleaning a mattress is a chore that used to require an expensive professional service, or costly equipment rental. With the Sirena vacuum cleaner- it’s easier than ever! The rule of thumb is to replace a mattress every 6-8 years. So it’s only natural to assume some cleaning and general maintenance will be required throughout that timeframe. Our powerful vacuum system paired with one of our versatile attachments, like the Turbo Pet Hair Brush or the Upholstery Brush, will lift dirt and grime from soft surfaces, including your mattress. You will be able to rest and breathe easily! Plus, the unexpected uses of a vacuum cleaner will surprise you!

4. Vacuum As An Air Humidifier

Did you know that a water vacuum cleaner can double as an air humidifier? Yes, you read that correctly! Since the air in a water vacuum is drawn through a water basin, the air that is released naturally has a higher water content. Just like that, dry sinuses are gone! To add an extra boost of sinus relief, we recommend adding a few drops of our eucalyptus fragrance.

Oh My Sirena!

I’ve never used a canister vacuum so that is taking a little getting used to. It’s kind of funny; my husband pointed out I don’t call it the vacuum or a sweeper. I call it “my Sirena”. It works great, I was surprised how much pet hair it picked up my first use. The deodorizer and essential oils I will definitely order more of when these run out. My old vacuum seems like a toy in comparison of how much more effective my Sirena is. It’s only been a couple of weeks but as of right now I am very happy with this purchase. Will write another review in December when I’ve had it a while. The extra hose and attachments I haven’t really figured out a good way to store it for accessibility and convenience. Any suggestions?

Best vacuum I've encountered in 16 years

Sixteen years ago I bought an Ocean Blue water filtered vacuum. It was by far the best vacuum I had ever owned, but it's wearing out now and they quit making them. I just got a new Sirena and it has all the features of the Ocean Blue plus a few improvements. If you know anything about water filtration vacs, I don't need to tell you how good they are. This one is the best I've encountered in a long time.
