Water Vacuum Cleaner vs Dry: What’s the Difference?

The water vacuum cleaner vs dry vacuum cleaner debate continues on among vacuum shoppers. But once you look at the facts, the decision is not difficult to make for most homeowners. There’s a good reason why allergy and asthma sufferers, who depend on air quality for their health more than anyone, prefer water vacuum cleaner vs dry. This blog will compare bagged vs bagless vacuums and explore their pros and cons.

What Is the Difference Between ‘Water Vacuum Cleaner vs Dry’

There are important differences between these two types of vacuum cleaners. Very simply, a water vacuum uses a basin full of water to filter out dirt and dust. And a dry, or bagged, vacuum uses a vacuum bag to attempt to contain these allergens.

Why Do Allergy Sufferers Prefer Water Vacuums?

Water vacuums are the preferred choice of allergy sufferers because of the incredible efficiency with which they can clean the air. Each allergy season, dust, pollen, and other irritants find their way into your home through the air. To avoid the discomfort of constant sniffling, sneezing, and coughing, as well as the day-ruining headaches and nausea that can also occur, look into a water vacuum that combines water filtration with a backup HEPA filter to trap and lock 100% of dust and dirt.

Dry vacuum cleaners can’t compare. That’s because when you empty their bags and replace them, dust and dirt are sure to escape and recirculate. Even worse, as your dry vacuum ages, natural creases and cracks in the filter will allow additional particles to escape back into your home. Water vacuum owners know this problem as a thing of the past.

Why Do Pet Owners Prefer Water Vacuums?

When it comes to picking up both wet and dry messes, a water vacuum is the only option. Traditional dry vacuum cleaners cannot handle wet messes. As soon as a liquid enters your vacuum, it could potentially break or even catch fire. Water vacuums, on the other hand, are equipped with the technology and attachments needed to handle almost any mess you encounter, such as the occasional accident from your furry friend.

Why Do Asthma Sufferers Prefer Water Vacuums?

Asthma is a serious condition that affects millions of people. The best prevention for asthma attacks and prevention of symptoms is to keep the air as clean and pure as possible. Backup HEPA filters in water vacuums do the job of trapping particles out of the air that could be potential irritants. But water vacuums go a step further because they are guaranteed to keep those particles trapped with no chance of escape. Have you ever seen a speck of dust get up and walk out of a pool of water? When left in the dry air, however, it is free to dance back into the air supply right under your nose.

Awesome!

So thrilled to get my new Sirena vacuum. Years ago my mother had a rexair which was the same water principal. I've wanted one ever since. Now I have it! Have used it twice so far with excellent results. I feel I can breathe better plus the suction is terrific for getting up pet hair and such. I am an avid quilter so this vacuum gets all those little threads and lint balls that fly everywhere. Love it!

The Best Vacuum for a whole new meaning to clean

I purchased the sirena vacuum a couple of years ago and I absolutely love it. The air seems cleaner after vacuuming. So I just purchased the sirena cordless vacuum. This is why sirena only got 4 stars. My one and only problem with the cordless vacuum is that it is a little bit short. Maybe just me but it feels like it should be longer. But awesome job sirena!! You out did filter queen and I did not think that was possible. Thank you Sirena!!

Very Good Machine

Been using an upright for years that has HEPA filters. The filters have to be cleaned regularly and dust still seeps through and escapes back into the air. Wife has very sensitive nose and would leave the room
when I was vacuuming. The Sirena doesn’t allow any dust to escape and my wife is much happier now. The Sirena does require more storage space and set up time to get started vacuuming but works very well for cleaning.

Happy customer

My old Rainbow vac died on me after 30 + years of service. I was searching for something similar and found the Sirena. It was delievered very quickly after ordering on line. It was just what I wanted, similar to my old friend but better In Several ways. The price compared to another brand was great and the pick up is far better. I’m a happy customer.
