Why Choosing The Right Vacuum Cleaner is Important For People with Allergies

Allergies are a serious concern for many people. And, good cleaning solutions are one of the best ways to combat them. A vacuum cleaner for allergies will purify the air as it cleans, and not release particles back into the air after vacuuming. The right vacuum cleaner for allergies does not have a messy bag. Instead, it uses water to cleanse and purify surfaces and air.

Choosing the Best Vacuum for Cleaning With Allergies

With so many options on the market today, it may be difficult to decide which vacuum is best for you. You want to find something that pulls as many of the particles that cause allergies out of the air, your furniture, and any other surface. Your best bet in most cases is a water vacuum with a high-quality water filtration system.

Water-based vacuum technology works by suctioning air, dust, and allergens into the unit so that they enter the water basin. The particles are then filtered through the water, making it so that they are trapped in the water and never enter the air in your home. Without a water filter, you may have allergens escape while changing the bag, cleaning your vacuum, or even while performing the cleaning itself.

Most vacuum cleaners for allergies will also include backup HEPA filters. They are incredibly effective at capturing particles like pet dander and dust mites. This is crucial when you have pets or family members who suffer from asthma or other allergic conditions. It can mean all the difference between preventing an allergy attack.

Oh My Sirena!

I’ve never used a canister vacuum so that is taking a little getting used to. It’s kind of funny; my husband pointed out I don’t call it the vacuum or a sweeper. I call it “my Sirena”. It works great, I was surprised how much pet hair it picked up my first use. The deodorizer and essential oils I will definitely order more of when these run out. My old vacuum seems like a toy in comparison of how much more effective my Sirena is. It’s only been a couple of weeks but as of right now I am very happy with this purchase. Will write another review in December when I’ve had it a while. The extra hose and attachments I haven’t really figured out a good way to store it for accessibility and convenience. Any suggestions?

Best vacuum I've encountered in 16 years

Sixteen years ago I bought an Ocean Blue water filtered vacuum. It was by far the best vacuum I had ever owned, but it's wearing out now and they quit making them. I just got a new Sirena and it has all the features of the Ocean Blue plus a few improvements. If you know anything about water filtration vacs, I don't need to tell you how good they are. This one is the best I've encountered in a long time.
