The 5 Health Benefits of Using a Water-Based Vacuum Cleaner

While water-based vacuum cleaner is certainly praised for its effective ability to clean spaces and provide a more enjoyable experience to cleaning, some have overlooked the importance of the health benefits that it provides. Water-based vacuum cleaners are critical for the health of family members – children, adults, the elderly, and pets alike. This fact is becoming increasingly important to people as they consider which cleaning methods will not only clean well but provide a healthy living space.

1. Reduction in Airborne Irritants

One of the most important benefits that water-based vacuum cleaners have is that they can easily capture airborne irritants. Pollen, dust, VOC gasses, staphylococcus, germs, tobacco smoke, and more are all easily captured in the water filter of the vacuum. Traditional vacuums easily lose suction power and have a difficult time sucking in and containing airborne irritants in a vacuum bag. The water in a water-based vacuum cleaner easily captures these particles. And, it prevents them from getting back into the air.

2. Water-based Vacuum Cleaner Increases Cleaning Efficiency

As previously mentioned, water-based vacuum cleaners improve upon the cleaning efficiency of traditional vacuums. It picks up liquids and does not lose suction. This means that more dirt and grime will be out of the way when your family goes about its daily activities. Cleaner spaces mean healthier living conditions.

3. Decreased Animal Dander

Animal hair is another problem plaguing homeowners with pets. Their dander seemingly gets everywhere, from tiny cracks in the floorboards to between cushions on the sofa. Sirena does a better job than other vacuums by picking up animal hair. This decreases the number of animal allergens that are lurking about your home. Additionally, Sirena vacuums include soft, horsehair bristled attachments that loosen animal hair up before sucking it in.

4. No Dirt and Dust Kickback

The main problem with traditional vacuum cleaners is that when they expel air back into the home, they typically have not properly filtered the contents. Regular vacuum filters become clogged and allow dirt and dust to pass through them. This causes an issue for those breathing the air around the vacuum cleaner. With a water-based vacuum, this problem is solved as the water catches nearly all of the dirt and only expels clean, purified air back into the home.

5. Cleaner Dirt Disposal Process

Older vacuum cleaners require the user to beat and clean the filter by hand. Issues begin to arise as soon as the process is started as the user begins to breathe the dirtied air. In addition, the dust and dirt that gets back up into the air begins to settle in the vicinity, oftentimes in important places such as the kitchen or bathroom.

A water-based filtration system is much cleaner, however. The basin is simply removed from the vacuum cleaner and dumped outside in the yard or flushed into the toilet, then given a quick rinse. This means that the user does not even have to touch the dirtied water. Following this process, all that needs to be done is to rinse and dry the basin, allowing you to have the experience of using a brand new vacuum every time.

Oh My Sirena!

I’ve never used a canister vacuum so that is taking a little getting used to. It’s kind of funny; my husband pointed out I don’t call it the vacuum or a sweeper. I call it “my Sirena”. It works great, I was surprised how much pet hair it picked up my first use. The deodorizer and essential oils I will definitely order more of when these run out. My old vacuum seems like a toy in comparison of how much more effective my Sirena is. It’s only been a couple of weeks but as of right now I am very happy with this purchase. Will write another review in December when I’ve had it a while. The extra hose and attachments I haven’t really figured out a good way to store it for accessibility and convenience. Any suggestions?

Best vacuum I've encountered in 16 years

Sixteen years ago I bought an Ocean Blue water filtered vacuum. It was by far the best vacuum I had ever owned, but it's wearing out now and they quit making them. I just got a new Sirena and it has all the features of the Ocean Blue plus a few improvements. If you know anything about water filtration vacs, I don't need to tell you how good they are. This one is the best I've encountered in a long time.
