Seasonal Allergies All Year Round? Why Your Vacuum May Be To Blame

When considering the best thing to do for seasonal allergies, many people think of cleaning. This is a fair assumption as we dwell inside of our homes for a large portion of our lives. Houses are closed boxes, home to a variety of residents like parents, children, pets, and more. But the reality for many households is that they do not realize that their vacuum cleaners are spewing allergen-filled air into their closed spaces. This, in fact, is leading homeowners to search for the best vacuum for allergies.

How Vacuum Cleaners Work and How They Are Worsening Your Allergies

Vacuum cleaners are very complex pieces of equipment. Many people think that vacuums simply suck up dust and dirt, depositing it in a vacuum bag. The reality of vacuum cleaners is that they are much more complex than this. Plus, they can have serious health consequences for unsuspecting users.

When vacuums suck up particles of dirt and grime from around your house, they take in a lot of miscellaneous air as well. This air then contains billions of microscopic bacterial cells, gases, odors, and yes, allergens that are floating about. Traditional vacuum cleaners have a simple air filtration system that this air can pass through.

Vacuum bags and filters clog very easily which means that dust and allergens either never get sucked in due to loss of suction, or blasted out with the exhaust. This effect goes by the name “blowback”.

The Best Vacuum for Allergies

The heavily debated question between people who understand the risks that traditional vacuum cleaners pose for allergies is which vacuum is truly the best vacuum for allergies. Between cleaners, types of traditional air filters are debated and fought over. The real answer lies in the complete reinvention of the filtration system, and allergen prevention is its main use.

On a spring morning, it is not uncommon to see lakes and ponds covered with a thin layer of yellow dust. This same dust may even collect on your car, with visible stripes running down the side after a rain shower. Pollen, among other allergens, has a unique attraction toward the water. As a liquid, water does a superb job at capturing allergens such as pollen as the trillions of water molecules can surround and encapsulate pollen particles.

Purchase a Sirena Water Vacuum Today

For these reasons, the best vacuum for allergies is a water vacuum. Water vacuums are revolutionary in their approach to filtration systems as they simply use water instead of air filters. The same molecules that would originally be passed through a filter and spewed back out are dumped into a water basin, quickly becoming trapped and unable to be sent back out into the home environment. W o r k s ! River of AIR

had a rex-air rainbow several years (decades), it's in trash now...can see how this design is an upgrade of sorts (by far) for water vacuuming / just remind all to keep it clean yourself after each use and clean the bottom and tank out.....

Sirene Vacuum Review

It seems to be a good vacuum cleaner very similar to our old Rainbow, but for considerbly less money.

This is my second one

I bought one years ago and loved it. After about 10 years the buttons stopped working but mind you my kids were pretty rough with it. But decided to get a robot vacuum for my next one and was so upset. It was terrible. So now went back to this one. Will never bug another vacuume again. In the 10 years I had my old one it always vacuumed as the same as the day I got it. It never lost suction.

Fantastic- worth the cost

Works great- best vacuum I’ve ever had. Really helps with the allergies especially when cleaning. Doesn’t kick up the dust like most vacuums.
