How to Easily Deal With Pet Hair All Over Your House

Pet hair can be a nightmare if you don’t have the right tools and plan. Hair sticks to carpets and furniture surfaces and floats into hard-to-reach places, making it impossible for most cleaning tools and products to reach.

Finding the right vacuum for pet hair is already difficult as is, but it doesn’t have to be. More so, it also doesn’t have to be difficult cleaning up pet hair. In fact, we’ve listed some tips below that you can utilize to prepare you for pet hair cleaning.

Get The Right Tools For The Job

Most pet owners are not making life easy for themselves and using traditional vacuums and cleaning products to clean up after your pet is not the answer. Because of the amount of time you will spend cleaning pet hair, you don’t want to use a device or chemical that is not easy and healthy. That is why many pet owners prefer to use water-based vacuums that are both more effective and safer for you, your pets, and your surfaces.

Don’t Skimp on The Attachments

Your vacuum will only be partially effective if you don’t have attachments that can be used on all surfaces and in difficult corners. Most quality vacuums come with attachments that can reach every corner of your home. They also have heads that will not damage sensitive surfaces that can’t handle intense pressure. Before buying a vacuum, make sure it includes or is compatible with attachments that can adapt to any surface or clean-up need.

By letting hair, dirt, and dust sit in hard to reach corners, you will expose your guests and your family to allergies and dirt that can cause sickness and discomfort.

Create a Solid Cleaning Schedule

One of the hardest parts of cleaning up after a pet is staying consistent. Hair builds up over time and just a week or two without cleaning can create a noticeable difference, especially for asthma and allergy sufferers. Staying ahead of the build-up is key and the only way to do it is by keeping to a consistent cleaning schedule. It can be as short as ten minutes every other day in high-traffic and problem areas. Whatever you do, make it a solid habit that allows you to keep peace of mind and comfort!

Oh My Sirena!

I’ve never used a canister vacuum so that is taking a little getting used to. It’s kind of funny; my husband pointed out I don’t call it the vacuum or a sweeper. I call it “my Sirena”. It works great, I was surprised how much pet hair it picked up my first use. The deodorizer and essential oils I will definitely order more of when these run out. My old vacuum seems like a toy in comparison of how much more effective my Sirena is. It’s only been a couple of weeks but as of right now I am very happy with this purchase. Will write another review in December when I’ve had it a while. The extra hose and attachments I haven’t really figured out a good way to store it for accessibility and convenience. Any suggestions?

Best vacuum I've encountered in 16 years

Sixteen years ago I bought an Ocean Blue water filtered vacuum. It was by far the best vacuum I had ever owned, but it's wearing out now and they quit making them. I just got a new Sirena and it has all the features of the Ocean Blue plus a few improvements. If you know anything about water filtration vacs, I don't need to tell you how good they are. This one is the best I've encountered in a long time.
